A Boating Guide to Stokesby

Stokesby is a delightful village with a large tree lined village green. The Riverside Stores adjacent to the village green is open during the season and sell a wide range of goods and also serve teas. The Ferry Inn is situated beside the River Bure and has a pleasant beer garden overlooking the river. The village is 9 miles from Yarmouth and is a good stop off point to wait for the ebb tide when journeying down through Yarmouth and across Breydon Water. The journey to Yarmouth takes between 1½ and 2 hours.
Broads Authority Moorings at Stokesby
The Broads Authority moorings are situated right alongside the village green and children’s play area. There is room for about three boats. The tide flows fast here so always come into moor against the tide. Additional mooring space is available downstream of the Ferry Inn (Fee).

The large tree lined village green is well kept and makes an ideal spot for a picnic.

The play area has swings, seesaw and a roundabout all set on safety matting, within view of the staithe.
