Richardson’s have been offering boating holidays for over 70 years. This is a big boatyard with a fleet of over 290 boats. They have boats to suit all tastes and pockets in their Platinum and Classic fleets. The welcome at the boatyard is always friendly, their efficient staff will have you on the water in no time at all, boats are often ready before their scheduled take over time, something that can’t always be said of other smaller yards! This is my ‘go-to’ boatyard and has been for many years.

In 1880 John Loynes opened his boatyard beside Wroxham Bridge hiring out boats. The boatyard is still here today, owned and run by the Funnell family.

The boatyard established in 1972 recently won the Hoseasons Boating in Britain Diamond Award for exceptional quality and outstanding service. Their boats are highly regarded by their customers, many book for the following year at the end of their current holiday. Broom Boats
Brooms of Brundall are probably the most well known boat yard on the Yare. They started hiring sailing boats in 1912 and offered ‘skippers’ to sail the boats and do the chores. After a long absence Brooms are again hiring boats through the Hoseasons agency.
