I have been to the broads every year since 1981 and never get tired of the the sight and sounds of the Broads although the boats have changed quite considerably with a few more home comforts it is still you and the rivers and the peacefulness of it all

Great holiday in July. Plenty of water after all of the rain. Not many boats under Potter Heigham bridge. Still it was magical to see the barn owls in the field opposite, getting our fingers chewed off by the animals at the kid's farm at Wroxham Barns, cathing a few fish and the best of all enjoying a "G'n'T" in the evening listening to the sounds from the river. If this isn't heaven then it must be close to it. We are back again in September. I don't know why we just do not pack our bags and go and live there.

Now that's what I call a good idea.

When we were young, all our summers were spent on the Broads. In the late 50's I remember my Dad getting our boat stuck under Potter Heigham Bridge!! He did a runner and the bloke from the boating company went mad, till Mum started crying. It all ended well, my Dad escaped with an ear full from Mum and the cold shoulder the rest of the day. I was only 6 0r 7. Well now as a Nan, I am bringing my grandkids back to the area. Life goes around eh? I know they will have fond memories to take forward as I have. A beautiful and peaceful part of East Anglia. HAPPY DAYS!

Nice site, lots of good info and photos, it's been over 30yrs since I've been on the broads with my folks and the site has brought all those memories flooding back. Can't wait until next week when we board at Wroxham for a week.
