Thanks for your effort in this website. recently moved to Norfolk from Yorkshire and aquired a mooring on the broads - now all I need is a boat! Your site has been invaluble in informing and confirming that we have nade the right decision nd providing a "taster" of what lies in store. Thanks a lot.

An excellent website with tons of info. I am a Broads 'saddo' having first visited in 1961 at the age of 6m on 'The Princess of Hearts' and virtually every year since, sometimes 2 or 3 times. Thankfully, I have managed to convert both my children and wife. It is sad to hear of the demise of the old Hearts (W Hart and Son) boatyard at Thorpe as I have fond memories of Commander Ashby, his wife and his converted MTB. Does anyone have any information on any of the wooden Hearts boats 1940-1964 in particular, Heart Beat and Heart Throb? My 'E' mail Address is iainandpaula@NOSPAMaol.com.
