Excellent site - brings back some fond memories. Over the years we've had some great boating holidays - all motor cruisers - taking the plunge this September - trying yachting for the first time! Really looking forward to it - albeit with a little trepidation! Any hints and advice most welcome.

To Val Halton, I think the broad that you are referring to is Bridge Broad, from memory, somewhere between Wroxham and Horning, it is one of our favourite places on the Broads. We went there for breakfast on our last trip to the Broads in June 05.
The broads were great as always as were all the locals.

Many years ago I took a break on the Norfolk Broads. One evening we entered a very small broad to moor for the night. I think it was off Wroxham broad. There was a barrier across the broad and I believe this was to prevent fishermen casting and getting caught on some overhead electricity cables. I can't remember the name of that broad and wonder if you can help? One thing which was strange about the barrier is that it had a section which was charred as though a boat had been on fire and my partner and his brother were convinced they saw a ghost! It may well have been too much after dinner brandy!

I love the web site, I used to live in Suffolk, and took two Broads holidays, this brought back wonderful memories.
I am trying to find old Broads travel posters (from the 20's and 30's) reproductions not originals. Can you help with a resource?
